Emeka's Story - How Dangerous Cultism Is (Episode 4)

Dangers of cultism on Innovative future
As someone new to the game, Emeka had to start getting acquainted with his new lifestyle.

He would go out on weekends to drink with his new gang.
He would always leave home with a book, telling his parents he was going to see a friend living in the neighboring street.
He would then change to his party clothes once he gets to Abit's house.
Abit was already living without his parents ,having left home once he clocked 18.

It was on one of these Sunday parties that Emeka and his gang had planned to attack Ete. That would make his revenge complete.

The Red Knife and Black Cat guys had been fully drenched with alcohol and drugs before the confrontation began. One of the guys matched the toe of an opposite cult member and a fight ensued. In the twinkle of an eye, the individual fight turned a group fight.

Emeka knew who he came there for and he immediately attacked Ete when he wasn't on guard. He had given him a few blows before Ete got to stand on his feet. A real fight ensued between the two and blood was already gushing from their noses in a matter of seconds. Emeka has become tough, but not as tough as Ete who has been in the game for a long time now.

Ete got the better of Emeka and stabbed a pen knife into his ribs!

The cult boys fled and Emeka was lying helplessly. Abit who was supposed to be his guard was on the run too, as the police had arrived the crime scene almost immediately.

Emeka's Story - How Dangerous Cultism Is (Episode 2)

The police saw Emeka lying helplessly and thought he had gotten what he deserved. To them, everyone of the cultists should be behind bars or on the other side of life .

The last policeman to run past him said,

'Now he has paid for his deeds'.

At that point, Emeka knew he was done for. He was loosing a lot of blood and the last set of people he believed would come to his rescue just walked by.

He felt the life going out of him and shortly thereafter,he fainted.

Emeka was to open his eyes five hours later, this time he was lying on a hospital bed with a strange man sitting by his side. He was finally able to recall where he saw the man for the first time.He was the owner of the club house where that bloody fight had taken place.
Emeka quickly thanked the man.

The man related a story of how Emeka's parents had helped him in the past and also mentioned that his parents were already on their way as he has called them after the incident.

His cover has been blown! Emeka never wanted to let his parents know that anything has happened to him and here the man was. telling him they were already on the way to the hospital.

What could he do now?

He was too weak to run away. Would running away even be the solution to his ordeal ?

His parents stepped into the room ten minutes later.

Instead of being furious as Emeka had expected, they were calm. They didn't scold him but seemed to take the blame for everything that had happened. They said they were too busy to observe the changes that had been going on in their child's life.

Emeka's Story - How Dangerous Cultism Is (Episode 3)

Then came the huge blow, as the doctor who was taking care of Emeka came in with the medical report.
He called Emeka's parents into his office and read the report.
"The patient has tested positive to HIV following the introduction of new red blood cells into his system a few weeks ago. I'm sorry to break this news to you, but your son only has a few years to live".

Emeka's parents were astounded. How could this be? They were sure Emeka had become bad,but how did he contact HIV?

The quickly went over to the room where their son was lying down and broke the news to him, in a bid to find out if he had any clue on how he contacted the virus.

Emeka cried a pool of tears as he narrated a story of how he was forced to drink a cup of blood during his initiation.
'I never knew it was infected!' he screamed.

Emeka's Story - How Dangerous Cultism Is (Episode 1)

Emeka had to spend the last of his few years confined to their home to ensure no one else was to contact the virus. He died exactly two years later.

The End..

A pretty sad end. We look at the morale of the story.

  1. Do not let the wrong actions of others make you compromise your good standards
  2. Parents should always make out time from their busy schedule to chat with their kids
  3. Your parents should be your closest confidant. Do not fail to notify them when you face  difficult challenges at school.
  4. Let your friends be those that inspire you. The wrong friends will only end up ruining your life.
  5. Cultism is really dangerous. You run the risk of loosing your life for very little or no gain
