NECO Releases June/July 2017 Results

The National Examination Council (NECO) on Thursday announced the release
of the June/July 2017 examination results with 70.85% of students making five credits including English and Mathematics.
This figure represents a 1.11% increase to 2016 NECO results.

The announcement was made by the council's registrar Charles Uwakwe in Minna,Niger State.

Mr Uwakwe confirmed that a total of 1,055,988 candidates registered for the examination, among whom 1,051,472 wrote the tests in 76 subjects.

745,053 candidates made five credits and above, including English Language and mathematics, in this year's examination.

He further mentioned that 903,690 candidates have credit in English Language, while 849,335 candidates have credit in General Mathematics.

There was however some bad news on the other front as the registrar disclosed that 50,586 candidates (4.81%) and 276 schools across the country were involved in examination malpractice.
This represents a 0.52 % increase when compared to the 2016 record.

Innovative Future had reported a massive rate of examination malpractice during this year's JAMB and WAEC examinations and the trend doesn't seem to be loosing it's strength just yet.

NECO candidates can now access there results from the NECO website
