Signs You Should Move To A New School

The thought of moving to a new school frightens some students as much as it pleases others.
If you've ever had to move to a new school because the whole family has to move into a new neighborhood, then you'll perfectly understand that moving is no easy task.

When students move to a new school, a whole lot of thing changes, such that without proper guidance they may never fully settle in their new environment.

Transiting from the rank of a school knowbie to a newbie who has to ask questions every time to find his way around isn't a popular feeling. In fact,it is one of those experiences you would love to avoid unless you have really sound reasons to move to a new school.

Now, with the exception of moving because the whole family has to, how do you figure out that its the best time to move to a new school and not get stuck in a limbo.

In this post, we'll consider

Five Signs You Should Move To A New School

1.Lack Of Competition

Your zeal to study and your desire to improve as a student will be sapped if you continue to study in an environment where you carry the day, everyday.

Healthy competition gives you an added incentive to put in more effort. Hence, if you starve yourself of this by continuing at a school where no one ever beats you, then you can't effectively measure the level of your academic progress.

Resolve to test yourself against the best by moving to a new school or you'll become that home champion that gets well beaten away from home.

2.Change In Financial Circumstances

If perhaps, your parents or guardian lose their job, get a pay-cut or simply no longer has enough resources for you to continue schooling where you are at right now, then its time to move than stop schooling.

Always remember that education must not be expensive to be the best.
You could also easily move to your desired school if situations change swiftly.

On the other hand, a promotion at work or a significant pay rise in the salary of a parent or guardian could also instigate the desire to move a student to a new school where standard of education is improved.
In this case, both parties must agree that a switch to a new school would be the right step for the scholar ,or the purpose of moving may never be truly realized.

3.Strained Teacher-Student Relationship

A rift in your relationship with a subject teacher might seem to be a minor reason to move to a new school , but would be given due attention if you've tried your best to get back in good terms with the teacher.

No subject/course is worth relegating because of a strained relationship, so moving might be your best option if a new teacher isn't coming pretty soon.

4.When Teachers Are Moving

Every good school has the record for keeping their best teachers for a long time.

How would you cope with loosing your best teacher(s) every new session?

If you're fazed by the difficulty of having to work with a new teacher every session, then you should consider moving to a new school.

Since different teachers have different teaching styles ,students often complain of struggling to get to terms with their new teachers.

Making a move should be further prioritized if at the expense of qualified teachers, the school continues to employ those with little or no teaching experiences.

5.Dangerous and Hostile Environment

For the physical aspect, attention is given to the structure and facilities available at your school. If the structures are getting worn out and the facilities are not of modern standard, then you should be moving pretty soon or risk being left behind in the evolving world of education.

Your educational growth is also hampered by an environment which exposes you to cultism, teenage sex and other moral degrading practices which has been on the increase in recent times.

Beautiful flowers do not grow in a harsh environment ,hence, you need a serene environment to enjoy the best form of education .

6.School Crisis

Incessant strikes or irregular payment of teacher's salary could lead to a downturn in learning activities. This will adveresely affect your studies if no solution is forth coming. It could therefore be a sign that you should move to a new school to save your future.

Conclusion

Let's face it!
It's never easy to leave for a new school. Your friends and teachers will live in the past, while you move on to the future and try to settle in a new environment.

When you move for the right reasons , however , you stand to gain a lot.

If you've finally decide to move, do well to remember that your new abode should have the answers to all the deficiencies you've had to deal with.
