Six New Primary Schools Established in Lagos

Six Newly established primary schools in Lagos

The establishment of six New primary schools has been approved by the Lagos State government as
the Ambode Regime continues the campaign to provide quality education to every child of school age in the state.

In a statement released by the Executive Chairman, Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Ganiyu Sopeyin, this development was in line with the new government policy on education.


The six newly established primary schools in Lagos are





  1. Community Primary School, Ibasa, Ojo Local Government.
  2. Community Primary School, Ajewanwa, Ojo Local Government.
  3. Oladele Aĺaka Primary School, Ejigbo, Oshodi - Isolo LGEA.
  4. Iju Ajuwon Primary School, Ifako-Ijaiye LGEA.
  5. Osho Sholu Primary School, Ewu Oloye, Erunwen, Ikorodu LGEA.
  6. Correctional Home for Boys, Oregun, Ikeja.


These new schools which will operate under the new educational policy designed to bridge the gap between public and private schools in the state.


It is also pertinent to note that the educational standard in Lagos public schools has witnessed a remarkable improvement under Governor Akinwunmi Ambode's administration.
The new educational policy ensures that qualitative and quantitative education is made available to the teeming children population of school age in the state.

Desks, chairs and other educational facilities had been approved for procurement for the new schools.

With the establishment of this six New schools, the number of primary public schools in Lagos is now 1, 016 according to Mr. Sopeyin.
