5 Obvious Reasons Why Students Need A Time Off

Students are always occupied with daily school activities that leaves them stressed out
at the end of every school day or session.Waking up early,preparing for school,walking or boarding a bus to school,attending classes and coming back home with loads of assignment sums up what goes on in the life of student for over nine years.The student spends ten hours or more attending to school issues and while this benefits the student in a way,it could also be harmful in a different way.In this article we will discuss some reasons why students should be given a time off (break or holidays).

• Rest And Recreation: A break period during school hours affords the student sometime to rest,socialize with friends and get prepared for the rest of school activities.This period should usually last for 30 mins-1 hr and helps the student stay fit physically and mentally.All work and no play makes jack a dull boy,therefore the break granted to students gives them sometime to engage in recreational activities like playing games or even travelling during the summer holidays.

• Spending Time With Their Parents:Since students are away from school during the holidays,they have more time to spend with their parents,this proving most effective when the child schools far from home.

• To Help Them Fulfill Their Spiritual Obligations : Most students do not have time to attend to some of their religious activities because some of these activities fall within school days.In several cases,the child has only weekends to cool off without the exception of home works.

• A holiday is an excellent period for the student to review previous lessons and preparing for the new school week or session ahead.Students use this period to evaluate their performances and re-strategize ahead of the new term.The student could also use this period to get some items that will be needed when school activities resume.

• For students who work to pay their fees,a break period or holiday serves as a time during which the student works to earn pay.The students can also use this period to help their parents at work if need be.

Considering all these benefits,it would be unwise for the students to be denied a time off from school activities.
