Stress can be seen as pressure which one experiences due to a collection of factors like the ones mentioned.
Here are nine steps to help you beat school stress
1.Identify The Causes
Just as an ill health cannot be properly treated until it is diagnosed, the journey towards beating stress becomes an uphill battle unless you identify the likely causes. School stress sometimes arise when we take on just a little too much burden on ourselves. Not taking notes when everyone else is doing it adds the stress of having to do it when everyone is doing something else. In fact, procrastination of school work is the most major cause of school stress.Tackle each problem promptly.Peer pressure or the presence of a bully is another cause of school stress.
2.Evaluate Your Priorities
Acknowledging your reason for being in school helps you set priorities and make decisions on difficult issues when they suffice. Remember you must set your priorities and not let the choices of others around you form the basis on which you set them.
3.Do Not Procrastinate
A few problems will disappear if you ignore them. But some would rather get worse as you allow it to wear on,thus increasing the volume of stress you must deal with. Work with a schedule if you can. This way, you get things done wen they should and you save yourself more time .Be punctual and avoid rush hour. You will save yourself the stress of having to go through a lot of books prior to exam if you form the habit of studying during the term.

4.Have A Positive View Of Your Abilities
Possessing the ability to tackle school work does not mean you should take on more work than you can handle. Know when you've reached your maximum and desist from accepting more work especially extracurricular activities.
5.Be Realistic
Having noticed what stress you out,you could divide it into two categories - those you can do something about & those you cannot control. First, work on the problems you can do something about and then you can relax while the other sort itself out.
6.Be In Good Terms With Your Lecturers
Your teachers should be your close companions as they could have helpful advice that will help you beat school stress. They have been through school and understands just what it means to be a scholar. It would also save you the stress of failing a course you'd have gotten better grades at just because the teacher has something against you (oh! sure they sometimes do).

7.Limit The Time You Spend With Gadgets
Technological advancements mean there is just enough to spend time on when you have a time off from school work.It however becomes a snare when these gadgets steal time that would have been used for school work. In fact, some students spend more time on social networks and video games than they actually spend with their books. This results in stress and even depression when the term reaches a point where they have to avoid gadgets or risking failing their exams.
8.Ask For Help
As the strongest weightlifter has his limits, so do you. When you feel overwhelmed by school stress, you could talk to your parents, a trusted friend or your favorite teacher. As them if they had faced similar situations, and also ask them to make practical suggestions.
9.Renew Yourself
Make time for sufficient rest and balanced recreation. Get enough sleep at night and with regards to recreation, remember that it doesn't have to be expensive to be refreshing. You could take a walk, watch some TV depending on your hobby. Cultivate interests and friendship that are meaningful. This way you have something more than school work to think about.
