Emeka's Story - How Dangerous Cultism Is (Episode 1)

It was the talk of the whole town and has even gathered more momentum
in recent weeks as the 'Red knife' guys raided another bar.

The cultists snatched people's handsets and wallets and left the scene immediately they heard police sirens at a far distance.

Emeka was watching from their own house which was adjacent to the bar where the raid occurred. He could recognize the face of one of his classmates Ete who was a member of the 'Red knife' guys. He had known for some time now about his involvement but this was the first time he was seeing him in action.

Then came this battle with his conscience which has become the epilogue whenever he hears about a cult raid.

Coming from a very nice and religious home, Emeka knew without doubt that what the 'Red knife' guys were doing is inhumane.

But he still wondered,

'Since the bad boys always manage to get away from the crime scenes, how would the innocent victims of this raid get justice'?.

He knew something should be done by the government, but is still bewildered by the fact that not even a single member of the cult group has been in police custody.

He quickly swiped the thoughts aside as he heard his Dad call out his name.

His Dad was in the bar when the raid took place and has lost his cell phone to the bad boys.

'My smart phone is gone!' Mr John lamented.

At this point, Emeka got even more infuriated. How could a gang with his classmate in the crew, raid his very own father?

Something must be done about this,he thought to himself.

But what could he do ?

He was a very quite person and would be given the beating of his life, if he ever walked up to Ete to mention that he saw him with the 'Red knife' guys at an operation. Not to mention that his father's smartphone was collected at the spot.


Emeka didn't want to keep quiet about this either. As he remarked,

'It was a slap to his face'.
How could someone, same age as him rob his father?.

He thought about the next line of action.

'I know what I must do now ' he said ,ready to storm out of the room.
His father called him back and said,

'Do not make any rash decisions because of what has happened today. Justice will prevail'.
