Everyone in class was beefing up for the real deal. Even the seemingly lazy students were now dedicating reasonable time to their studies.
The intensive classes and extensive study time was however not a source of worry for Francisca as she was already accustomed to it.
She was 'the best student the school has produced in the recent years' as the school proprietor asserted in a radio interview.
Amid all the plaudits she has received from the school however, she had a lingering problem.
The Mathematics teacher has been making immoral advances towards her ever since she joined the school.
She has been successfully coping up and has smartly refuted all of his charges.
Right now, though, she had to deal with more as she needed to ask a huge favor of him.
It all began with an ill health which kept her absent from school for five months.
Now with few weeks left to the final exams , she has been playing catch ups. She has studied and tried to come to grips with all the class lessons conducted while she was away.
In fact, her studious disposition meant she had done the greater part of the job before now.
There was only one subject she struggled with - Mathematics.
Mr Newman would apparently give his consent to organizing extra classes for her but not without demanding something in return.
Those missed classes had key points that she needed to pass her exams.
How was she going to get them without his help?
She wasn't ready to fail her exams either.
Francisca thought about letting her parents in on her ordeal but on a second thought decided to take it upon herself to figure out a way.
What would she do?
