When To Say 'NO' To A Friendship - Episode 3

Three months have passed since that horrible night
and Ted has been fighting so hard to deracinate thoughts of the incident from his mind, all to no avail. It seemed to come up when he was doing just about anything, except sleep. On one night, he even had a nightmare of the grave consequences of his actions. He didn't knew they were only few days away.

Back in school, his grades experienced a sharp decline as he found it hard to focus on studies. He missed more classes than he attended and was absent minded even when he was on his sit, with eyes fixed on the teacher's eyeballs.

Ted saw a blur image of his parents just as he lifted his head from the pillow which he had laid it on. He was still fazed between reality and dreams when he wiped his face with his hands.
There they stood, without those faces he knew clearly indicated that something isn't right. What might that be? Have they discovered his secret affair with Laura? If So, How Did They?

Those thoughts rang through his mind as Ted was escorted downstairs by her parents to behold the sight of a weeping young girl. He was still elusive to what was happening until he noticed their family doctor just beside the girl who has by then raised up her face. So, it was Laura. Her parents were sitted with also mean faces and it was only then Ted understood what was going on.

The discussion that ensued confirmed his fears. Ted's parents told him he was to stop schooling and then get a job so he can cater for his new family. Laura was pregnant! the doctor confirmed.
Ted already knew the type of parents he had.He was to bear responsibility for his actions.
His parents shortly after,reminded him of how often they had discussed with the damages teenage sex does.He was now to have a taste of the pills.
The last favor they extended to their son was that of getting him a menial job in the neighborhood.

Ted became an under aged father.Laura an under aged mother.

Now, even Ted's close friends had left him. In fact, they were the very ones who took the news to school.

At the assembly, it was announced that Ted and Laura has been expelled from school.

The school principal added
'You all must now learn from what has happened to Laura and Ted.Know when to say 'NO' to a friendship'

'When To Say 'NO' To A Friendship'.

• Always be on alert to know when your supposed friends start becoming traitors. Know When to say 'NO' to a friendship.
• Being controlled by your peers makes you no different from a programmed robot. You are to bear the responsibility for your actions, therefore do not let them take decisions for you.
• Your parents ,older sibling or a close teacher friend can be a really good confidant when you're battling some challenges at school. Even the strongest person on earth has a limit to what they can bear.
• If you ever make a mistake,then do not fail to get help or reveal what has happened. It saves you a whole lot of stress and lessens punishment for your error.
• Premarital sex is really dangerous and has very deadly consequences.

When To Say 'NO' To A Friendship (Ted's Story) Episode 1

It was a rainy Monday morning and like every other school day,
Ted had gotten up very early to prepare for school.

Instead of the warm smile that is seen on his face every morning, he was looking dejected. A thought had been lingering on his mind throughout the weekend and it seemed he had to make a decision faster ,now that he was about to face his opponents (friends).


They used to be very close friends since childhood but he really could no longer explain  their actions since they turned teenagers. John and Chris had experienced a dip in morals.

It all began with skipping classes, next they joined a bad gang, started smoking and gambling with the most  worrisome to Ted being that they have started having sex.

Since they had been close friends, Ted never wanted to do anything to hurt them. Thus, he didn't inform their parents or even his own parents about the change in their habits. He has even helped them cover up their crimes with his trickery and lies on some occasions. That wasn't his problem now, anyway as he has gotten accustomed to doing that.

John and Chris has been mounting increased pressure on him to join their gang. Ted had already started missing classes ,but to them that was merely a preamble.
Before Ted left for home on Friday, they had firmly told him to either join them or stop being their friend.

They wanted a response and Ted promised to give them an answer on Monday.

Ted didn't want to lose his childhood friends neither did he want to give in to their unhealthy pressure to join them in what he knew was a wrong course. That was the thought he was battling with that morning till he stepped into the school gate.

Ted had barely gotten into the classroom when they came up to him.
'So what's your answer Ted?' they asked with eyes firmly fixed in his eyeballs.
The pressure got to him and Ted made a decision he would come to regret in the long run.

'I will join your gang guys' Ted muttered.
They embraced him and made fake promises to always stand by his side.

Ted never knew he was signing his downfall.
Series of events that unfolded within a year only affirmed he had made the wrong choice.

For a start, they hooked him up with a very beautiful girl in class ,Laura. Laura was a brilliant girl but just like Ted, her friends has succeeded in ruining her moral life. She has had an affair with half of the boys in the class and Ted was next.

It was at a classmate's birthday party that Ted's life was properly ruined.
